Lupe Chown
LUPE CHOWN (1918-2002):
Lupe Chown was born in 1918. She worked among some of the great artists of the California Laguna Beach art scene of the 1960 and 1970s. She often chose natural landscape settings for her work, such as seascapes, sailboat scenes, landscapes. She worked in oil paintings, and did hand pulled and hand colored aquatint etchings. Thes unique artworks are becoming increasingly scarce. Her paintings can be found in museums and private collections in America and all over the world.
