A Mother’s Warmth, by Zac Kinkade

A frigid background surrounds a family of polar bears, but shelter is given to two young cubs from the arctic cold it imposes. There is nothing so primal, profound, and real in this world as the love and protection a parent will provide its offspring. In this addition to my Animal Accent series, I attempt to capture the essence of a maternal bond. A Mother’s Warmth tells the story of a family of polar bears making their way in an unforgiving landscape. Like its human counterparts, the mama bear gives comfort to her children. In the case of this family, it is a physical warmth provided, but the protection of a parent can take many forms. My hope for this work is that it provides us all with some reminder of what was given to us through the love of our own mothers. As always, I want to thank you for sharing my adventures in art.
