Somewhere on a Beach, by Thomas Arvid

Drawing inspiration from some of his favorite destinations, Thomas Arvid brings us to a place we all know and love: Somewhere on a Beach. Arvid recounts that he conceptualized the painting in the Exumas, one of his favorite destinations. But he used the soft white sand of the Florida Panhandle for the beach, and inspired by his home-away-from home, he painted the blue water and sherbet skies of Maui. By incorporating the best of his favorite beaches, Arvid brings us a composition that is immediately familiar, and we can feel the stress melt away because there is literally nothing better than being Somewhere on a Beach.
